Once is not a habit, i made this contest alone...
My last activity during the former Samuel Morse contest, now called Marconi Memorial, was not a good experience. I was qrv from JN41IW, and i made only a very few contacts. I promised myself not to participate again !! But i love CW on VHF, and i thought it was time to try again.
But this time, i decided to be closer to the main CW activity in Europe : the eastern countries and Germany. So i went to JN42QX which is in the extremely northern part of Corsica.
3.5 hours of drive and several thousands of curves later, i finaly arrived !
Having started early friday afternoon, i arrived early enough to be able to mount the antennas before darkness. So i could make some tests friday evening ...
As a bonus, i got a very beautiful sunset and excellent visibility to Italy !
Having announced my activity on the european VHF chat, i received a lot of requests for meteor scatter skeds. So i made plenty of nice MS qso, skeds and random.
The contest was a real fun, conditions were a bit over average and i managed to work many new stations in S5, OK, HA, YU, SP, DL, etc ...
The Western activity (EA, F) was disapointing...
I will certainly be qrv again !! See you in MMD 2007 !!
